The 2016 Holiday season brought glad tidings of joy to the online world of soccer.

We kick off this latest compendium of web-based wonder with a frankly ridiculous charity match in Brazil last Thursday.
Neymar and friends locked horns with Robinho and co for a benefit game for Chapecoense and they channeled the Harlem Globetrotters with several delightful moves finished off in style.
The less said about the defending, the better but all for a good cause…
Mascot Beef
We travel to England for this bizarre tussle between Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha and Harry the Hornet (Watford’s mascot, don’t you know…).
In the 1-1 Boxing Day tie, Zaha was yellow-carded for simulation and Harry was on the scene shortly after the full-time whistle, mocking the Palace winger’s dive with one of his own.
New Crystal Palace gaffer Sam Allardyce was furious with the impetuous hornet but Wilfried move to draw the sting from the issue (eh, eh), taking to Twitter to make up with the under fire mascot…
