It's Toronto For NYCFC in MLS Playoffs!

Toronto MLS Playoffs

NYCFC’s Playoff fate is now known…

Patrick Vieira’s outfit will travel to Canada to take on Toronto in the first leg of our first-ever MLS postseason match this weekend.

Toronto beat Philadelphia 3-1 at BMO Field on Wednesday night to set up a mouthwatering showdown between the teams who ranked second and third in the Eastern Conference.

Goals from Sebastian Giovinco, Jonathan Osorio and Jose Altidore gave the Canadian side their first-ever MLS Playoffs win to confirm Sunday's opponents.

This is Toronto’s second MLS Playoff campaign following their elimination at the Knockout Round phase in last year’s competition.

NYCFC took two points from the two meetings between the teams in 2016, following two score draws both in New York and in Toronto.

The last clash between Vieira and Greg Vanney resulted in a 1-1 draw at BMO Field, while the Yankee Stadium match finished 2-2.

Our Playoff campaign kicks off away in Toronto on Sunday, October 30 and the return game will be at Yankee Stadium on Sunday, November 6.
