Mix Diskerud Named to United States National Team for Friendlies vs. Peru, Brazil

New York City FC midfielder Mix Diskerud has been called up to the United States Men's National Team for a pair of international friendlies against Peru and Brazil, U.S. Soccer announced today.


The United States play Peru at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 4 at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C (Fox Sports 1, UniMas, Univision Deportes Network). The U.S. then host Brazil four days later. That match is 8 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. (ESPN Networks, UniMas, Univision Deportes Network).


Mix has three goals and one assist in 20 appearances (17 starts) for New York City FC this season. The 24-year-old, who has six goals in 33 caps for the United States, has eight appearances (six starts) for his country in 2015.


New York City FC are on a bye Labor Day Weekend and return to the field on Saturday, Sept. 12 at FC Dallas.
