New York City FC forward David Villa remained in the hunt for the 2015 MLS Golden Boot by scoring in the Club's 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday afternoon at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
Villa slammed home a penalty kick in the 80th minute for his Club-leading 15th goal. The captain is tied for the third-highest tally in the league with Robbie Keane. The duo trail Columbus Crew SC's Kei Kamara (18) and Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco (17).
