New York City FC, the new Major League Soccer franchise, currently underway in their inaugural season, today announced a partnership with smartphone breathalyzer company, Alcohoot.

Alcohoot will be displaying reminders of ‘last call’ during the second half of New York City FC home games, promoting better alcohol awareness to encourage fans to stay safe and not to drive home if they have been drinking.

Tom Glick, President of New York City FC, said:

“We are pleased to be working with Alcohoot on this important initiative. We want all New York City FC fans to have a great time when they visit us but to get home safely and responsibly.”

Chris Ayala, CEO of Alcohoot, added:

“Partnering with New York City FC is an amazing opportunity for us to help fans make sure that they know they can have fun at a game but maybe that means not getting behind the wheel after an amazing match. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the games but also be aware of what happens when the game is over.”

In addition to being the official sponsor of ‘last call’ and hosting a booth at all home games, Alcohoot, will be an Official Partner of the designated driver program encouraging fans to be safe and plan ahead.

As a FDA registered medical device and the only smartphone personal breathalyzer to receive the prestigious 2014 Red Dot Award for Product Design, Alcohoot promotes safety and responsibility through a discreet, personal and highly designed mobile accessory.
